ISGF at the European WAGGGS/WOSM Conference in Vienna

From July 19th to 23rd, 2025, Vienna, Austria, hosted the European Conference of WAGGGS and WOSM – bringing together delegates from all over Europe to shape the future of Scouting and Guiding.

As International Secretary of the Scout and Guide Fellowship of Austria (PGÖ) and member of the ISGF Europe Committee, I had the honour of representing ISGF, following a kind invitation from the World Scout Bureau.
Together with PGÖ President Andrea Gartlehner and the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Vienna local Guild, Hansi Slanec and Andreas Schefzig, we set up an information stand to introduce ISGF to the many participants. We were pleased to see so much interest in our work and deeply enjoyed the inspiring conversations with young leaders and representatives from across both movements.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our hosts for their warm welcome and to the members of the World Scout Committee for including ISGF in this important event. I would also like to express my gratitude to Ana Rodrigues, chairman ISGF World Committee, and to the ISGF World Bureau for their trust and continuous support.
