Members Australia met Malta Central Branch

malta cb visitorsJules and Wavne Rikkers, ISGF members from Perth, Western Australia, met on 17 October the Central Branch members of the Malta Scout and Guide Fellowship while cruising the world.

The visitors were treated to a Maltese ‘pastizzi’ morning tea, a stroll through the Upper Barrakka Gardens and a private tour of the Lascaris War Rooms. They walked to MUZA, the restaurant of the Malta Community Art Museum, where they enjoyed a pleasant lunch together. After lunch they walked through the two main streets of Valletta, Malta’s capital city, and took a traditional Maltese boat over the Grand Harbour to the Three Cities, before returning them to their cruise ship. Just before lunch, they stopped to have the photograph take, to record the visit for posterity.

All members of the Malta SGF who were present in Malta participated in the programme. Another small chapter in the short life of the Malta Scout and Guide Fellowship.

Many thanks to Phil Hadcroft and his MSGF members for treating us to such a wonderful day out in Malta. We so much enjoyed the Maltese history, food, and fellowship, that we regretted having just a few short hours from our cruise ship to explore Valletta. Rest assured that we are inspired to return one day to spend a more leisurely time exploring Malta's many attractions.

Yours in Fellowship,
Jules & Wavne Rikkers
