Portuguese Federation celebrated Fellowship Day
The Portuguese Federation of Adult Scouts and Guides (FEGA), celebrated Fellowship Day with a face-to-face meeting that brought together members of the 3 Associations that comprise it. It took place in the town of Batalha, in the center of the country, and which was attended by the Chairman of the ISGF World Committee, Ana Rodrigues.
The ceremony featured a musical performance and another edition of the FEGA Talks, in which each Association presented some of its most significant and emblematic projects.
The 11th National FNA (the catholic adult scouts association) Camp was highlighted, which will also be the 1st FEGA Camp in June of next year in Oporto, providing a privileged opportunity for the shared experience of Scouting and its ideal.
However, perhaps the highest point was the awarding of distinctions, which FEGA recently regulated, to a member of each of the associations, who, through their "capital of experience", dedication, spirit of service and extraordinarycontribution to scouting or guiding. The path that FEGA has built, has become an example to follow and deserving of public recognition to Midá Rodrigues from AAG (the Former Guides Association), Mariano Garcia from FEP(the Adult Scouts Association) and António Fontinha from FNA (the Catholic Adult Scouts Association). They received the first FEGA medal of Merit.
