New Year’s message 2024
Dear members,
Yet another year now 2023 is coming to an end.
We are told this has been the hottest year ever on earth and certainly there have been natural challenges in every corner of our planet. Heavy storms, fires, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, dryness and the human population has not yet learned to live in peace.

It is with great sadness that we announce that our good friend Christos Loukatos has returned to the Creator. He was very loved both in Greece and abroad. He generously offered his long scouting/ fellowship experience with the enthusiasm of a young Scout. He was cosmopolitan, open-hearted, giving and supportive.

The fifth Fellowship Meeting of Scouts & Guides pioneers in Tunisia was organised, as planned, from 20 to 27 October 2023 in Tunis and Djerba, an island classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. One third of the 110 pioneers taking part came from abroad and two thirds from different regions of Tunisia. The countries represented were Australia, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, in addition to the International Guild of IAG’S Ambassadors.

NSGF-LIBYA has adopted the National Scout Initiative for Environmental Sustainability. They developed a special strategy centered around employing members of the association who have experience in scouting and community work.
