Greg Davies, member of National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Australia and treasurer of AsPac Regional Committee has been awarded. He received the Order of Australia for his services to Scouting, locally and internationally. He has done so much for Rovering and Fellowship in Australia over the years, this recognition by the government is well deserved.
The Tunisian Scout and Guide Fellowship will organize the 5th Fellowship Gathering in Tunisia. Participation is open to all members of ISGF worldwide. The programme of the Gathering is presented in details in the information letter. Discussions will be held in English, French and Arabic.
A delegation of members of the Tunisian NSGF recently completed a two-week trip to Malaysia from 15-29 November 2022. It was composed of 22 participants Adult Scouts (8) and Guides (14). This was on the occasion of the 16th ISGF ASPAC Regional Meeting, held in Penang from 17 to 21 November. We were able to visit Penang, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur.
The first branch of the state Scout and Guide Fellowship in India in the state of Maharashtra, was established in the year 1962 and celebrated its 60th Anniversary on the 12th of November 2022.
From 16 – 19 November 2022 NSGF Libya held her 10th Conference in the International Scout and Guide Training center in Jadda’im, west of Tripoli, Libya. About 200 participants from Local Scout and Guide Fellowships (LSGFs) attended the Conference.
It's that time again – Jota/Joti 2022 Jamboree on the air. From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 October 2022. This year, members of the Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg (DPSG), the Association of Christian Scouts and Guides (VCP), the Association of Girl Guides and Boy Scouts (BDP) and Deutscher Pfadfinder Bund 1911 (DPB 1911) participated in this event. They have all been brought together by the Black Tent Radio Guild, which is involved in the Association of German Old Scout Guilds, Verband Deutscher Altpfadfindergilden.
The National President of the Scout and Guide Fellowship Ghana (SGF Ghana) Mr. Prosper Bani has reiterated the need for the government and its development partners to remain mindful of the increasing effects of climate change and its effects on livelihoods. According to him, through effects were being made globally to mitigate the impact of climate change, more needed to be done to salvage the situation.
During the recent 4th International Secretaries meeting, which was held on September 24, 2022 in the city of Hammamet in Tunisia, a Twinning agreement was signed between NSGF Libya and NSGF Tunisia.
These NSGFs already applied for having an official certificate.
With a 2-year delay (due to the Corona pandemic), the “Grænsetræf / Grenztreff” now took place from 6 to 8 May 2022.
The border between Denmark and Germany, once seen as a separation and demarcation, is now a sign of cooperation between two minorities - the Danish south of the border and the Germans north of the border. These characteristics were also the theme of the meeting.
The ISGF Twinning Coordinator received just recently a request from three ladies of respectively Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic to supply them with a Twinning certificate. They have formed two groups ALJAZE and TORAVE. They all started Twinning in 2022.
