The Local Scout and Guide Fellowship of Al-Andalus District of Libya launched on April 18, 2023, a ritual washing project in Rajasthan, a state in northern India.
We want to stress the importance of keeping the news on ISGF website updated. A constant flow of information is needed that we want to share with our members. They should be engaged with our content.
As it is already a tradition, St. George’s Day will be celebrated on April 23. I am sure that most of us know the reason why we celebrate this important day in Scouting.
After 3 years of absence, the General Assembly (GA) of the International Ambassadors Guild, was held again in Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday 26 March 2023, at 1.00 pm. at "Les scouts pluralists" next to the former ISGF headquarters, Avenue de la Porte de Hal, 38 B-1060. The Members were welcomed by the Chairman Nana Gentimi and everyone was happy to meet in person again.
The Norwegian guilds play an important task in supporting the Norwegian guides and scouts at “Camp Villmark”, a big outdoor-equipment trade fair that is held in the large exhibition hall in the town of Lillestrøm, near Oslo. Back in 2016, the trade fair management offered the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association (NGSA) an exhibition area free of charge, in which to present scouting activities.
The Verband Deutscher Altpfadfindergilden e.V. - VDAPG (Association of German Adult Scouts and Guilds) met from 17 to 19 March 2023 in the Salvador Allende House in the city of Oer-Erkenschwick. Conclusion of the future workshop, amendment of the statutes, anniversaries and excursions in the Ruhr region: VDAPG e.V. association meeting in Oer-Erkenschwick.
The Baden-Powell Guild UK supports continuously the Nepal Educational Support Trust (NEST). This Trust brings a sustainable and substantial improvement in the quality of life of disadvantaged communities in Nepal. They create education opportunities for marginalized children and youth particularly for girls, children with disabilities, and ethnic minorities.
The Hosting Committee and the National Council of Scouts and Adult Guides of Argentina invite all ISGF members to the 3rd Western Hemisphere Regional Conference, to be held in Córdoba, Argentina, from October 27 to 31, 2023.
Founder's Day / World Thinking Day Message 2023
The twenty second of February was the Birthday of the Founder of the Scout Movement, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, and the World Chief Guide, Lady Olave Baden-Powell. Since 1926 Scouts and Guides have celebrated World Founders Day/Thinking Day as a day of friendship for Scouts and Guides throughout the World, and also demonstrating their global brother/sisterhood among the nations of the world.
