ISGF World Committee is looking for stories about successful projects.
A questionnaire and an accompanying letter has been sent on 7th February 2013 to all National Presidents, International Secretaries of the National Scout and Guide Fellowships (NSGFs), Regions and contact persons of Central Branch (CB) Groups. This form should be filled in by the NSGF or CB group and returned to World Bureau until 15th May 2013.

Report of Linda’s mission to ISGF Project in Haiti - January 2012 |

Linda Bates, former World Committee Member from Canada, has just returned from the ISGF International Development Project in Haiti with team members from Canada, CASEGHA and other parts of the USA. They were working at the school in Grison Garde, Northern Haiti, which was started in 2008 (see this link). Travelling at the same time were Medical and Dental teams from USA and Canada who were supporting the Clinic in Grison-Garde.

ISGF attended the 34th WAGGGS World Conference in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, which was held from 11 July to 15 July 2011. More than 390 delegates from 122 Member Organizations around the world came together to make decisions about the future of the Movement and to celebrate the centenary of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting.

Support asked for Scout Orphanage Academy in Kenya |

ISGF has been asked to support a project in Kenya targeting young orphans at the Scouts Orphanage Academy in Homa Bay County in Nyanza province. The implementation of the project will be led by the Alliance of Councilors Against HIV/AIDS (ACAHA), a Non-Governmental Organization based in Kenya.

It is with great concern that ISGF World Committee is following Japan’s situation since Friday, March 11th, 2011. The 8.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Japan claimed thousands of lives, destroyed cities, and triggered tsunami waves in Japan.

ISGF brought another shipment to their project in Haiti |
|
|
Linda Bates, International Project coordinator, has brought a new shipment to Haiti together with five volunteers.
The intention was that the shipment should have delivered much earlier but because of natural disasters and political restless situation any action on delivering goods had to be postponed. Sixteen volunteers sorted, labeled and packed medical supplies worth $150,000.00 USD in 15 suitcases weighing just less than 700 lbs.
