 This year the National Guiding Association in Greece (SEO) celebrates its 80th anniversary. Guiding in Greece started in 1932 and became a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in 1933.
This long but also rich history of Guiding in Greece is hosted in the Greek Guiding Museum named after the founder of Guiding in Greece “Irene Kalliga” (1912 – 2000). The creation, development and operation of the Museum, which was founded in Thessaloniki in 2005, is one of the most important activities of the Greek Guides Component Association.
