The 2018 sub-regional Gathering will take place in Eastbourne, England from 8 – 12 October.
The 27th Western European Gathering will take place in Eastbourne – England from 8 - 12th October 2018.
The National Scout and Guide Fellowship of UK is pleased to announce the 27th Western Europe sub-regional Gathering from 8 - 12 October, 2018 in the city of Eastbourne, England.
All 76 participants from 12 countries had big smiles on their faces when it was time to leave on the 11th of September. They were shaking hands in scouts/guides fashion, hugging each other; they were promising to write to each other and to attend the next meeting (European Conference in Tours, France or before!). And then, there would be other occasions: a workshop or even a new European Guild Forum in Grossarl. Wonderful!
Where: The 26th West European sub-regional gathering will take place in Domein "De Westhoek" in Oostduinkerke, Belgium. Oostduinkerke is a seaside resort in the dunes in the province of West Flanders and can be reached by car. From airport Brussels or Charleroi there are trains to Panne, a place close to Oostduinkerke from where transport will be provided by the organizers.
The National Scout and Guide Fellowship of Belgium is pleased to announce the 26th Western Europe sub-regional Gathering from 7th until 11th of September, 2015 in the city of Oostduinkerke, Belgium.
From 25 – 29 September 2012 around 130 participants from 13 countries of sub-region Western Europe and beyond gathered at Cork, Ireland in hotel Montenotte.
The Gathering has to be part retreat, part holiday, and part business meeting - over the years it’s developed an effective ‘formula’ for meeting all these needs.
Cork city awaits you! In this city the 25th Western European sub-regional Gathering will be held under the name COIS LAOI 2012. This event is being hosted by the Fellowship of Irish Guide and Scout Guilds. Cork city was founded by Saint Finbarr in the 7th Century and Cork Harbour is the second biggest natural harbor in the world after Sydney in Australia. Cork is a University City that’s produced many famous writers and musicians.
From 18-22 August, 2009 some 101 participants from the sub-region Western Europe such as Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and United Kingdom but also from Germany, Liechtenstein, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland gathered in Dundee, Scotland for the 24th West European sub-region gathering.

The organisation of the Dundee gathering registered over 60 participants and it looks it will be great fun. See below the numbers and countries.
They are also looking forward to register more members and the deadline for registration is 30 April and final payment is 30th June, 2009.
Their premise is that this gathering brings together adult Scouts and Guides. The format of the sessions will focus on the experience that participants will bring as well as address questions. Some participants will bring a certain expertise and some will have insights and stories to share. It will form a resource for those that attend as well as an access point for others that were not able to be at the Gathering.
