To make the World a Better Place: Community Good Turn at the Med Gathering in Tavira, Portugal – October 2009
Friendship in Tavira was felt at the very moment you entered the airport arrival zone in Faro.
The smiles, the reception team, team at the hotel: all through the stay so available and so well organised, visible and muite simpaticos, friends from previous Conferences and Gatherings, etc.
The few days of the MED spent in Tavira, from 8th to 13th October 2009, in the beautiful region of Algarve in the south of Portugal, have been a ray of sunshine which enlightened this year made somewhat gloomy by the world crisis. And ….furthermore…the weather was gorgeous!
The Comité Português de Antigos Escoteiros e Guias - AEG, is happy to confirm that both sub-regional gatherings, 13th Mediterranean and 2nd Southern Europe, will be held in Tavira (Algarve) Portugal.
Algarve is a region with a great cultural and historical heritage. From the Moors who, after 500 years in the region, ensured their legacy, also the Romans left their testimony along the coast line to Prince Henrique the Navigator, who in the 15th century, left from Sagres and explored the entire African coastline and discovered the maritime route to India and discovered Brasil.
