The Scout and Guide Fellowship UK (SAGF) held their 2nd Annual Gathering (AGM) from 16th – 18th May 2014 in Northumberland, close to the site of the First Scout Camp, organised by B-P near Hadrian's Wall 106 years ago.
On 18 May 2014 the 40th Twinning took place between the committees and also members of former committees and their partners of Central Branch group Netherlands and the Flemish Fellowship, Vlaamse Oud-Scouts en Oud-Gidsen (VOSOG) of Belgium.
FAAS (the French Fellowship) already wished a happy 60th birthday to all our sisters and brothers of ISGF on 25 October. Fellowship Day in France was celebrated on 17 November, some days later, at the Scoutisme français headquarters.
Nepean Valley Trefoil Guild in Australia enjoyed a craft day by making bookmarks with Australian themes. These bookmarks will be used as give-aways for activities both overseas and for visitors to Australia.
The Scout and Guide Fellowship UK held recently their first annual meeting. During a weekend members enjoyed formulating plans for the future and how best to further the aims and ideals of their organization.
The weekend also included discussion time with the opportunity for everyone to contribute ideas for the way forward. Future events both here and abroad were discussed and a gathering for next year is in planning stage.
The Fellowship Santo Antonio from Cape Verde invited the ISGF Chairman, Mida Rodrigues, to be present at the 40th anniversary of the Scouts of S. Domingo’s festivities and to meet with the Fellowship members.
A cultural show, an official ceremony with representatives of the government and St George’s day commemorations highlighted the Scouts anniversary of a very big group of boys and girls that are very proud of being members of the 1st group of “Associação de Escuteiros de Cabo Verde”.
On the first of March Romania celebrated the beginning of “spring” and the NSGF Romania welcomed it by giving each other special tokens ("martisoare") symbolizing spring, revival, good luck etc.
