On December 7, 2017 the local Scout and Guide Fellowships in Libya celebrated the fact that the Arab Union of the Pioneers of Scouts and Guides existed 33 years.
For 15 years adult scouts from Italy together with local Guilds from Austria, Slovenia and Croatia freely meet confirming their friendship. This time they will meet in the sign of Peace.
Peter Yoong planned a 2-year (December 2017 – November 2019) solo cycling tour around the world. As part of this trip, he will be raising funds for World Vision Malaysia and would like to seek your kind consideration in partnering with him by making a donation. MASCI, the Italian Fellowship, has collected 33,000 signatures for a petition which they submitted to the Chamber of Deputies in Italy. The signatories of this petition refer to the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
As part of their Golden Jubilee the NSGF of Germany and the Central Guild were honored for their linking work with all German Scout
and Guide Associations despite if they are member of WAGGGS or WOSM or not. They received a brass memorial tablet plaque with the image of Lord Baden-Powell from the Pfadfinder Hilfsfond, an organization who support scouts in many ways.
The "Störtebeker" Guild from Verden, Germany and the Danish Guild Harvejen from Vejen/Grindsted have a partnership. Every year the members of the Guilds meet either in Germany or in Denmark. This year it was their 26th meeting in Germany.
Members of the Nepal Scout and Guide Fellowship (NSGF) supported the 3rd Regional Scout Jamboree held in Biratnagar mid October 2017. This city is the 4th biggest city in Nepal which is located in the South East. More than 2000 Scouts and Guides participated.
The NSGF Denmark, Sct. Georgs Gilderne I Danmark, had its general assembly in Fredericia from 23rd to 24th September 2017. A new Board was elected for the period of two years.
Twinning is something wonderful that should happen even without using modern tools. On 22 July 2017 two Twinning Guilds celebrated more than 20 years of Twinning.
The Nepal Scout and Guide Fellowship recently held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Chitwan National Park, a World Heritage site.
