As part of their Golden Jubilee the NSGF of Germany and the Central Guild were honored for their linking work with all German Scout and Guide Associations despite if they are member of WAGGGS or WOSM or not. They received a brass memorial tablet plaque with the image of Lord Baden-Powell from the Pfadfinder Hilfsfond, an organization who support scouts in many ways.
During the guild master gathering, that took place from 27 till 31 October 2017, NSGF and Central Guild Germany celebrated their Golden Jubilee. They also invited the vice chairman of the European Region, Pierre Decoene, as well as the chairman of sub region Central Europe, Teresa Tarkowska and friends from Austria and Belgium.
On Saturday the guild masters hold their meeting while the other participants went to visit the artist villages Worpswede and Fischerhude as well as the town of Verden with its famous cathedral. In the evening a gala dinner and ceremonial act took place. Sunday morning there was a special Jubilee Service. The rest of the long weekend was shared with excursions in Verden and environs, exchange of ideas and singing in the „Jurte“ (big German black tent) at the campfire.
